Dorshekha” means “those who seek You.” Those of us who come to Judaism from outside it are, of necessity, seekers. In Hebrew, “doresh,” to seek, also means to interpret or inquire. An essential part of our quest has been to wrestle with large and important questions and to turn to the wisdom of Jewish texts and teachers for guidance. Those who have converted to Judaism and those who have almost completed the process of conversion often want to go deeper into study and exploration of Jewish learning and Jewish identity within a community of others who have gone through this same joyous, but often times complicated journey.

Join us for “Dorshekha,” an immersive retreat that will gather together a small group of committed seekers for a week of deep textual learning, music, and reflection. The retreat will be sponsored by, and take place at Hebrew College on August 17-22, 2020.  Many leaders of this retreat will be rabbis and rabbinical students who are themselves converts to Judaism.

Innovation Lab LogoDorshekha is a project of the Innovation Lab at Hebrew College. This project is also partially supported by a Hadar Alumni Microgrant.
