News Highlights Hebrew College Alumna receives prestigious Pomegranate Prize

Rabbi Tiferet Berenbaum reveives Pomegranate Prize

Rav Tiferet Berenbaum ’13, an alumna of the Hebrew College Rabbinical School and rabbi of Congregational Learning and Programming at Temple Beth Zion in Brookline, MA, has been honored with The Covenant Foundation’s 2021 Pomegranate Prize, designed to honor emerging leaders who have been in the field of Jewish education for up to 10 years.

“We are kvelling! So proud of our colleague and alum Rabbi Tiferet Berenbaum for receiving the Covenant Foundation Pomegranate Prize for her inspiring, life-giving, world-changing work as a Jewish educator,” said Hebrew College President Rabbi Sharon Cohen Anisfeld. “Mazal tov, Tiferet!!!”

Rabbi Berenbaum, who also has a masters in Jewish Education from Hebrew College, spoke in 2019 at “Hebrew College Live! Stories in Honor of our Teachers.” Read her story.
