Charles Berlin, Hebrew College alumnus, former instructor and Board member, and current head of the Judaica library at Harvard, is featured in the September-October 2022 Harvard Magazine article, “A Moral Obligation: Charles Berlin and 60 years of collecting for Harvard Library.”

Berlin, who has run the Judaica library at Harvard for the past 60 years, was an instructor at Hebrew College in the 1960s and served on the College Board of Trustees for numerous years as a trustee and honorary overseer. Most recently, he served on the library committee discussing the plans for the College’s library on our new shared campus.

He received a Bachelor of Jewish Education (1956) and Master Hebrew Literature (1959) from Hebrew College. (Photo courtesy of Harvard Magazine)
