Join a vibrant community of teen learners, meeting at Hebrew College and in your community.
Explore Talmud and apply Jewish text to modern issue through our Teen Beit Midrash and Moot Beit Din programs. Learn about Jewish philanthropy through our flagship JTFGB (Jewish Teen Foundation of Greater Boston) or interreligious leadership through the Hebrew College Miller Center’s Dignity Project. Or take an academic post-high school gap-year through the Kivunim or Young Judaea Year Course programs.
Jewish Teen Foundation of Greater Boston
Teaching philanthropy to teens in 9th-12th grades
Jewish Teen Foundation of Greater Boston (JTFGB) is proud to be a part of the Foundation Board Incubator. This is a year-long program for Jewish high school students with all different denominational backgrounds from across the greater Boston area to develop strong leadership and communication skills, learn the ins and outs of professional philanthropy and grant-making through a Jewish lens, and allocate grants to effect real change in the causes they care about most. Teen Beit Midrash
A vibrant, diverse, and serious learning community for Jewish teens in 8th-12th grades
Hebrew College’s newest youth program Teen Beit Midrash is an intimate and challenging program for those who are looking for a pluralistic and inclusive place to explore their identity as a Jewish teen and deepen their knowledge. In-person and virtual options.

Students in grades 9-12 participate in the Maimonides Moot Beit Din competition on a Hebrew College team.
Students teams of three or four build and present their arguments based on traditional Jewish text that they learn over the course of three months, then travel to a shabbaton with 200 high school students from around the country and on Sunday compete in the Moot Beit Din offering their arguments in front of other teams and a panel of judges.

Interreligious leadership program for high school students
Hebrew College’s Dignity Project, an initiative of the Miller Center for Interreligious Learning & Leadership of Hebrew College, trains 14-16 outstanding 10th and 11th graders annually from the Greater Boston region to serve as interreligious and cross-cultural leaders for our times.

Academic gap-year program in Israel for high school students
Kivunim offers an academic gap year program for North American High School graduates based in Jerusalem, Israel with programmed field trip visits to 11 countries and over 50 cities and villages significant to the historical and contemporary Jewish global world.

Academic gap-year program in Israel for high school students
Young Judaea Year Course provides a year of immersive and intentional educational experiences. The program consists of three major components; service learning and volunteer/internship placements in the city of Tel Aviv and surrounding area, academic studies in Jerusalem, and regular seminars that enable participants to explore Israeli society, culture, nature, politics, and history.
