Admissions Requirements

Master of Jewish Education (MJEd)


Master of Jewish Education – Pardes Educator Program in Israel

Interested students must apply to both Hebrew College and the Pardes Institute. The admissions departments of both institutions communicate to evaluate student applications. Additionally, the institutions communicate regarding administration and academic and student services. The following is a general overview of eligibility and admission requirements:

Fellowships, Scholarships, and Other Aid

Midcareer Fellowships

Midcareer Fellowships are available for some MJEd and MAJS students. Fellows receive a one-third merit fellowship, and may be eligible to receive additional need-based aid from Hebrew College. Fellowship eligibility includes:

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree at least five years prior to beginning study at Hebrew College.
  • Prior work for at least three years as a professional serving the Jewish community, and continued work in such a position for the duration of the fellowship.
  • Availability to enroll for at least 12 credits per year.
  • Working 15 hrs./week as a professional in the Jewish community

Application Deadlines

We will review applications for Fall 2023 enrollment beginning on July 15, 2023. Extensions are granted on a case-by-case basis, though financial aid awards may be more limited for late applications.
