Hebrew College’s choir-in-residence, Kol Arev, will perform a concert celebrating the year of Leonard Bernstein’s 100th birthday. The program will include sacred music by Bernstein (including excerpts from the Chichester Psalms) and by fellow Jewish American composers Morton Gould, Lukas Foss, Irving Fine and Aaron Copland. There will also be solo and ensemble music from ‘West Side Story,’ ‘On the Town,’ and ‘Candide,’ as well as other solo pieces by both Copland and Bernstein.
