News Highlights New Director of Peabody Religious School Follows in her Father’s Footsteps

Alyssa Pessaroff Kischel, who received her master’s in Jewish education from Hebrew College last June, has followed in her father, Cantor Sam’s footsteps in serving the community of Temple Ner Tamid in Peabody, MA. Pessaroff Kischel now serves as the director of Ner Tamid’s religious school.
“I could feel my father kicking me in the tuchus saying, ‘do this, you have to do this…The way he talked to the community, the way the community respected him – my father was a big deal in [me] pursuing this role.”
