“This is me at my Bat Mitzvah, wearing a tallit woven for me by my cousin, Jane, as a gift for the occasion. I remember carefully choosing the colors to be used. Fifteen years later, I still wear the same tallis (thanks, Jane!), only now I pair it with a set of tefillin that my dad was given at his Bar Mitzvah. I love that I am literally draped in my family’s tradition!”
