Panelists

Chuck Collins is the Director the Program on Inequality and the Common Good at the Institute for Policy Studies where he co-edits Inequality.org. He is author of the popular book, Born on Third Base: A One Percenter Makes the Case for Tackling Inequality, Bringing Wealth Home, and Committing to the Common Good (Chelsea Green). His most recent book, Is Inequality in America Irreversible? is published by the Oxford, UK-based Polity Press.

He is an expert on U.S. inequality and the racial wealth divide and author of several books, including with Bill Gates Sr. of Wealth and Our Commonwealth, (Beacon Press, 2003), a case for taxing inherited fortunes.

He is co-founder of Wealth for the Common Good, a network of business leaders, high-income households and partners working together to promote shared prosperity and fair taxation. This network merged in 2015 with the Patriotic Millionaires.

Molly Schulman (she/her) has been a member leader in the Resource Generation Boston chapter for a year. She has participated in both an anti-racist white praxis group and a virtual high net wealth praxis group, currently facilitates a Jewish praxis group, has attended three national Resource Generation conferences, and currently organizes Boston constituents to increase their giving to social justice. Apart from her work with Resource Generation, Molly serves on JOIN for Justice’s board, sings in a cover band, facilitates a monthly Rosh Chodesh gathering, and is a member of the Chordata Capital fellowship. She is thrilled to share her passion for wealth redistribution, her grounding in Jewish resistance, and commitment to building compassionate cross-class relationships to the panel.

Rabbi Shoshana Meira Friedman, Rabbles`14 serves as Director of Professional Development at Hebrew College, where she manages the rabbinic internship program, works on placement after ordination, and teaches on spirituality & social justice. Directly prior to coming back to Hebrew College, she served as the Associate Rabbi at Temple Sinai of Brookline, where she expanded and deepened social justice organizing, built a robust teen program, and strengthened engagement across the congregation. Shoshana brings strong mentoring and chaplaincy skills, a gift for music and prayer leadership, and over a decade of experience in environmental, interfaith, and social justice organizing. She and her husband Yotam Schachter co-wrote The Tide Is Rising, an anthem for the climate movement that has spread rapidly. Her writing can be found at rabbishoshana.com.
