The play Our Class, a celebrated off-Broadway production retells the story of ten classmates — five Jewish and five Catholic Poles — grow up as friends and neighbors, then face the awakening of hatred, with life and death consequences. Inspired by real life events surrounding a 1941 pogrom in a small Polish village, this shocking, timely story follows their lives from childhood through eight decades.
Join Our Class director Igor Golyak, the Ukrainian-born founder of Arlekin who came to the United States as a Jewish refugee, and his producing partner Sara Stackhouse as they share questions explored and wrestled with in the play, with stories and lessons learned during their journey producing this stunning, timely piece.
Our Class is playing at Boston’s Calderwood Pavilion June 13-22, 2025.
