Our October program in Hebrew College Adult Learning’s free, monthly GROW series addresses “Holy Humor” with instructor rafa kern, PhD.

We hope you will spend an hour with us for this and future programs in our series, to gather, reflect, observe, and wrestle with topics that will deepen your Jewish learning.

Holy Humor

Date: Thursday, October 9, 2025 | 12-1 PM EST/9-10 AM PST
Location: Zoom
Program: Holy Humor
Instructor: rafa kern, PhD.
Cost: FREE

Jews are known for having a unique sense of humor. The very first joke in the Torah—Isaac’s birth—offers an opportunity to discover how humor can shape our lives. During this GROW session we will explore the belief that tradition paired with humor can offer opportunities for spiritual and religious growth.
