GROW headerJoin us online for our next Tamid of Hebrew College free GROW program on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, when Jody Kipnis, Co-founder, President & CEO, Holocaust Legacy Foundation, will speak about “Building Moral Courage in a Fragile Democracy.”

About the Program

In a time of deep polarization, rising antisemitism, and growing distrust in democratic institutions, Holocaust education is not merely about the past — it is a civic imperative.

In this powerful and deeply personal talk, Jody Kipnis shares why she is leading the creation of Holocaust Museum Boston, opening in 2026 across from the Freedom Trail. Inspired by her life-changing journey to Poland in 2018, Jody set out to build more than a museum of history — she set out to build a space that asks urgent questions of the present.

Rather than beginning with 1933 or ending in 1945, this conversation starts here and now. How do democracies erode? How does dehumanization take root? What are the warning signs? And how do ordinary individuals develop the moral courage to speak up — before it becomes dangerous to do so?

This talk challenges audiences to engage not only with what happened during the Holocaust, but with the choices, silences, and values that shape societies — including our own.

GROW is Tamid of Hebrew College’s free, monthly adult learning program, offering an hour with us to Gather, Reflect, Observe, and Wrestle with topics that will deepen your Jewish learning.
