Hebrew College is thrilled to offer a rousing “Mazel Tov” to Korey Dropkin, son of Hebrew College CFO Keith Dropkin, and his mixed doubles curling partner, Cory Thiesse. Together the duo won silver on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 in Cortina, became the first American team to win an Olympic medal in mixed doubles. Korey and Cory, known as “Team CK”, faced Sweden in a grueling Gold Medal matchup yesterday, losing by a single point in the final end.

Hebrew College staff and supporters gathered on campus, and at the Dropkins’ Massachusetts curling club, Broomstones, to cheer them on. NBC Boston was on the scene in Wayland:

“Sara Brown, who works with Dropkin’s father, Keith, at Hebrew College, said the whole office has been rooting for the family.

“We all love Keith — he’s just an amazing boss,” she said. “He moved to Minnesota to help Korey train for the Olympics … We know how devoted he is to curling, and devoted he is to his family … It’s just so great to see someone you know and know how much they care about it. And to be able to watch their kid in this role — it’s just so wonderful.”

There was even a celebrity encounter to break the tension.

“His wife talked to Snoop and tried to explain to Snoop about how to curl,” Brown said, laughing. “I don’t know how that went. I don’t think Snoop really understood what was going on.”

We are proud of Keith, Korey, and Cory, and grateful to all of the people who made their olympic run possible.
