We will study the historical, cultural and theological significance of our lunar calendar, highlighting the special character of each month. We will explore correlations with the biblical twelve tribes of Israel, signs of the Zodiac, sensory organs of the human body as described in Sefer Yetzirah, and the twelve permutations of the Divine Name. We will also track solar rhythms, seasons, equinoxes and solstices, and discuss how solar and lunar rhythms sometimes clash and sometimes harmonize.
