Using Shabbat and Holiday prayers as our context, this course will focus on building Hebrew reading fluency. In addition to reading practice, each session will introduce new vocabulary, Hebrew roots, grammar enrichment and some discussion of prayer themes. Students should be familiar with the Hebrew alphabet and vowel system. This class is not a conversational Hebrew course. Students should purchase: Aleph Isn’t Enough: Hebrew for Adults Book 2 by Linda Motzkin.
