description

Join us on Zoom for our final public Rabbinical School-alumni-led talk about the Torah portion of the week as it pertains to our “Seeing Torah” art exhibit on campus. The event is free and will be offered on Zoom on Wednesday, December 8 at 11:00 a.m. with Rabbi Jamie Kotler `16.

Rabbi Jamie will explore parashat Vayigash and its powerful moments of reunification through the lens of forgiveness. Anita Rabinoff-Goldman’s beautiful representation of this parashat poses powerful questions about the nature of forgiveness. Are there limits to forgiveness? What are those limits? Can wounds be healed? How does the broken heart carry on?

The exhibit closes January 31, 2022, so be sure to come see it again, or for the first time, soon!

Registration is required for online participation.

About Rabbi Jamie Kotler:

Rabbi Jamie Kotler headshotRabbi Jamie teaches Torah throughout the Boston area. A seeker all her life, she began studying Torah as a young mother of three, and fell in love. Jamie enjoys opening doors into Jewish texts for other spiritual seekers, enabling reflection on our connection to The One, to one another, to the chain of generations on whose shoulders we stand, and to the world we inhabit. She offers traditional and modern sources to enhance and deepen understanding of the text, and to help students find their own modern voices in the ancient words of our ancestors.

Rabbi Jamie grew up in Brazil and Mexico, the daughter of Holocaust survivors. She attended Brown University (B.A. in Biology), Stanford University (MBA) and the Rabbinical School of Hebrew College where she was ordained in 2016. Rabbi Jamie has served as a chaplain and currently serves on the board of Mayyim Hayyim.
