The word Kabbalah means receiving. In this course, students will develop knowledge and first-hand experience of “receiving” life, with an eye towards channeling that experience into tikkun olam, repairing the world. Through text study (excerpts from the Hebrew Bible, Talmud, and Zohar) and simple practice techniques (breathing, meditation, light movement), this course will provide tools to engage in life’s endlessly surprising journey with greater efficacy and ease. RUACH’s studio is a shoes-free space (socks are ok!), and shoe covers will be available for anyone who cannot comfortably remove their shoes to practice.
