“My motivation for studying for a formal degree at Hebrew College was to gain a degree of literacy in Jewish studies. After sending my children to Jewish day schools and to Israel to study so that they would have the Jewish education that I never had experienced, it became clear that it was now my turn. I wanted to be part of the conversations about Jewish ideas, history, philosophy and literature and for that, I needed a better background.”
