Prozdor, Cohen Camps Launch Leadership Certificate Program
Prozdor has taken the plunge into the realm of online learning, partnering with the Eli and Bessie Cohen Camps to launch a first-of-its-kind leadership certificate program for teens.
Participants will engage in six months of online learning via Hebrew College's Schoology platform in preparation for spending two summer months in Israel at one of three Cohen Camps. More than 40 10th graders — members of the camps' Dor L'Dor (Generation to Generation) Leadership Program — comprise the inaugural cohort, which began its studies April 1.
“This innovative hybrid learning model is an important first step for Prozdor in the realm of online learning for teens,” said Prozdor Director Dan Brosgol. "And the early results show it's certainly striking a chord with the students.”
The online courses focus on leadership and character development, personal reflection and case studies of leadership in Israel’s history. They are designed to both prepare participants for their time traveling in Israel and help them reflect and continue their development following the summer experience.
The courses were designed by Brosgol; Emilia Diamant, Prozdor’s director of programming and initiatives; and Dor L'Dor Director Debbie Kardon Schwartz, all of whom are serving as instructors in the program.
