Logging in to the Hebrew College Online Tools
Your user name and password will give you access to Blackboard and Live Classroom. You will need your e-mail address for the Voice Board. See the instructions below for the login process for each site.
Blackboard
- To login into Blackboard, go to http://hebrewcollege.blackboard.com/
- Click on Login.
- Enter your Blackboard username and password, given in the welcome e-mail you received at the start of the semester or of orientation. Click Login.
- Your “welcome” window displays. Tools are on the left, courses on the right. Locate your course and click its name to enter.
Live Classroom
- To login into Live Classroom, go to http://208.185.32.61/.
- Click on Participant Login.
- Enter your username and password, given in the welcome e-mail you received at the start of the semester or of orientation.
- The Live Classroom Lobby displays:
- A “room” equals a class. Scroll to locate the class to take and click to enter.
Voice Tools/Voice Boards
Hebrew oral homework and oral discussion assignments use Voice Boards. The links are provided within your course.
- To get started, click a link from a lesson or from the homework or discussion page where all the assignments for the whole course are listed.
- Voice Boards require a new window. If nothing happens when you click the link, you need to disable pop-up blockers or else allow the necessary sites.
- IMPORTANT: If you are prompted to trust the source of the applet, click Always so that the software will always work.
- If a new window opens, it may appear to be blank for several minutes, even if you are on a high-speed connection. You may see the text instructions in the first illustration much sooner than you see the applet and login shown in the next illustration.
- Wait for the text instructions and then the Java applet to load, when you will be prompted to log in. Skip the screen name blank and use the e-mail and password you were instructed to use in the welcome e-mail, as shown in the illustration.
