Me’ah in Focus

New this fall, Me’ah in Focus is your opportunity to focus in-depth on contemporary Jewish issues and concepts. You'll study with fellow adult learners who enjoy a challenge, guided by distinguished faculty at convenient locations throughout the Greater Boston community. Whether you’re a Me’ah graduate who wants to delve into a topic that intrigued you during your Me’ah studies, or someone who wants to experience the growth and engagement of sophisticated adult Jewish education, this innovative adult learning program is designed with your interests and busy schedule in mind.

Me'ah in Focus draws its faculty from the Me'ah program's best instructors, as well as from a small group of noted academic experts at local universities who also excel in the dynamic give-and-take of the classroom. To best meet the needs of adult learners, classes meet once weekly for one-and-a-half hour sessions, on 16 evenings.

Two different courses will be inaugurated this fall at various locations:

Jewish Identity and the Land of Israel

  • Temple Emanuel, Newton

  • Temple Beth Avodah, Newton

  • Temple Israel, Natick

The Search for Meaning in a Post-Holocaust World: Contemporary Jewish Thought
  • Temple Aliyah, Needham
