Me'ah Graduate Institute

The Me'ah Graduate Institute (MGI) is your gateway to more Me'ah-style adult Jewish study. Now, at your own pace, with the best educators, you can take the time to focus on the texts and topics you found most intriguing in Me'ah. If you have never taken Me'ah but have studied Jewish texts and history elsewhere, you may also find MGI programs to be an appropriate next step.

Senior faculty include outstanding Judaic scholars who teach in Me'ah and adult learning programs throughout Greater Boston. All are talented educators with extensive experience teaching adult learners. Classes are offered at Hebrew College's Newton Centre campus and online.

Your time commitment is defined by your personal objectives. You may choose to study just for the love of learning, or perhaps you’ll choose to enroll in our Master of Jewish Liberal Studies (MJLS) program. This unique degree is designed for Me'ah graduates—or those with equivalent background—who want a challenge that fits into their busy schedules. Beginning in fall 2009, the MJLS will be available online. And if you wish to gain access to Jewish texts in the original Hebrew, you may choose to enroll in MGI's special Hebrew language courses, designed for adult learners.
