Hebrew College Commencement

Main commencement exercises for graduates of Hebrew College's academic, cantorial and rabbinical programs held 10 a.m. to noon, followed by buffet lunch for graduates and their guests ($15 charge per guest).
Honorary degrees will be awarded to journalist and author Anita Diamant, who will also address the graduates; business leader and philanthropist Morton L. Mandel; and Barry Mesch, who is stepping down as Hebrew College provost at the end of June. A fourth honorary degree will be awarded posthumously to Rabbi David Hartman, the late founder of the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem.
Other commencement-related ceremonies on June 2 include:
- Rabbinical ordination ceremony, 1:30 to 3 p.m., Mishkan Tefila
- Cantorial ordination and service, 2 to 3:30 p.m., Hebrew College
- Prozdor graduation, 4 to 5:30 p.m., Mishkan Tefila
