After a day of mind-bending exercisedeciphering texts, writing papers or just rushing
to meet deadlinesstudents, faculty and staff have a new way to unwind. Once a month they can join Alisa Dolev in the student lounge for yoga. Dolev plays Jewish music and incorporates into her routines thoughts of wholeness and positive energy. She also happens to be the wife of Hebrew College master's student David Dolev.
After 16 years of living on a kibbutz in Israel, the dancer and yoga instructor says that she wanted to teach yoga in a place where she felt a personal connection. "When I come to Hebrew College, I find people who are searching to find their meaningful place in society, people who are running from one thing to another, people who need to take some time out to breathe," she says.
"If we all stopped morelistened to ourselves and those around uswe would be able to integrate all that we experience in our life in a much deeper way. We would take more notice of all that life has blessed us with."
