This summer, you're never too old to go back to camp
Machaneh Yavneh, that is.
Yavneh celebrates its 60th anniversary with a reunion weekend and party, August 2022. Alumni are invited for the entire weekendto re-experience a Yavneh Shabbat, participate in an Apachee relay race, enjoy a Safam concert and play sports on the newly renovated athletic fields. Or, they can opt to come only for the Sunday Anniversary Party, to reconnect with fellow campers, counselors and staff.
Before and after the camp season, Yavneh offers the second summer of the Art Center at Yavneh, featuring a new workshop on the art of Majolica, the Hispano-Moresque tradition of painting vibrant overglaze colors onto handmade pottery.
In June, August and September, adults looking for an artistic escape can participate in three sessions at the Art Center at Yavneh, taking workshops on rings, drawing, the wooden container, polymer clay and other art media. A special extension session has been added as well, between the first and second sessions, devoted solely to Majolica glaze and terra cotta. Artist and author Mae Tupa will return in Session II to teach a special workshop for Jewish educators
Incorporating Art into Jewish Life and Education.
