SPRING "TRANSFORMATIONS"

Women scholars from around the world will lecture on the Bible and rabbinic studies as part of the ongoing series Transformations: Jewish Women Scholars Reinterpret Classical Jewish Texts. Upcoming presentations on Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. include "The Marriage of God and Israel: Problematics of a Biblical Metaphor," on March 3, with Hebrew College's Dr. Judith Kates. On March 31, Dr. Ilana Pardes offers "Exodus as Birth: National Narratives in the Bible." On April 7, Dr. Tikva Frymer-Kensky presents "Ruth and the Image of God: A Theology for Our Times." The series is a program of the Adult Learning Collaborative of Hebrew College and CJP, co-sponsored by the Consulate General of Israel to New England.
