Learn how the writing pros deal with publishing challenges—rewrites and rejections, agent searches, publisher bidding wars, jacket blurb lobbying—on December 7, 3:00 p.m., at Hebrew College, in Writers' Workshop: From Creation to Publication—True Confessions. Part of the Boston Jewish Book Fair, this practical workshop is cosponsored by the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center, Miriam Goldman Authors Fund, Grub Street Writers and Gann Library. Norman Finkelstein P'57, BJEd'61, MA'86, Prozdor faculty member and young adult nonfiction writer (Forged in Freedom), will moderate this behind-the-scenes look at the publishing process. Panelists include novelist Emily Franklin (Liner Notes); memoirist Eugene Pogany (In My Brother's Image: Twin Brothers Separated by Faith After the Holocaust) and children's book and folktale author Sarah Lamstein (Annie's Shabbat). Tickets in advance: $5 for JCC members, Grub Street students and Hebrew College students; $8 for general admission. At the door: $7 for members and students, $10 for general admission. For more information call Ellie Cohen, 617-558-6442.
