COMMUNITY NOTES

Rabbi David Starr, Dean of Me'ah, will serve as Scholar in Residence on Combined Jewish Philanthropy's Boston Solidarity mission to Israel in November. In addition, he has received a Memorial Foundation for Jewish Culture dissertation fellowship for the coming year.

New to the Hebrew College faculty: Dr. Alan Zaitchik was appointed as Director of Hebrew College Online and Visiting Associate Professor of Jewish Thought in October. Previously the Director of Technology for MyJewishLearning.com, a leading engineer for several high-tech companies and Senior Lecturer at Israel's Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, he holds a BA from Yeshiva University and a PhD in Philosophy from MIT.
