If you missed out on Family Camp at Yavneh last summer, take heart! Back by popular demand, what one participant described as "the most relaxing vacation I've had since my kids were born" will take place again this summer, August 23-27.

Last summer's successful formula drew singles, couples, families and grandparents from diverse Jewish backgrounds to create an extended family of their own. The four-day, four-night program's inaugural year attracted families from as far as Israel to share a week together as a true
klal Yisrael community.
"What really works at Family Camp is the programming for campers of all ages and backgrounds," says Yehudah Potok, Family Camp director. "We also emphasize the importance of family time in our programming and schedule many activities for families to participate in together."
Offerings include traditional summer camp activities-swimming and boating, sports, arts and crafts, music, dance, guided nature hikes-with optional Jewish learning sessions with scholars in residence, prayer services for different denominations and a spirit-filled Shabbat. Adult activities and well-supervised kid-centered programs are interspersed with family meals and other mixed-group options.
Set on 65 acres of land in Northwood, NH, Camp Yavneh is
shomer Shabbat and strictly kosher. Hebrew College founded Camp Yavneh in 1944 as the fullest embodiment of its commitment to informal Jewish education.
Registration for Summer 2006 Family Camp begins in February. For more information, contact Yehudah Potok at 617-559-8860, email
