Staff Notes

Rabbi Sharon Cohen Anisfeld was appointed Associate Dean for Student Life at the Rabbinical School on July 1, after serving as a part-time faculty member there for two years. She is former director of alumni affairs for the Bronfman Youth Fellowships in Israel.

Rabbi Jane Kanarek was appointed Instructor in Rabbinics at the Rabbinical School on July 1. A PhD candidate in the History of Judaism program at the University of Chicago, she will continue working on her dissertation in rabbinic literature upon moving to Boston this fall.

Caryn-Amy King was appointed Program Manager for Hebrew College Online on July 1 after performing contract work for the department over the past year. A student in the College's Master of Arts in Jewish Studies program, she brings seven years of professional experience in web application development and project management.

Kate Nachman joined Hebrew College as Admissions and Recruitment Manager of Academic Programs on August 1. She previously lived in Israel and worked for Merkaz Hamagshimim-Hadassah, serving as artistic director of Center Stage Theatre and director of Absorption Services.

Rabbi Sanford Seltzer, Director of the Interreligious Center on Public Life (ICPL) since its establishment five years ago, was appointed Associate Dean for Rabbinic Community Relations of the Rabbinical School on July 1. Former rabbi of Congregation Ohabei Shalom in Brookline, he will continue to direct the ICPL.

Kelly Winograd joined Hebrew College's Department of Development on August 1 as Director of Annual Giving. She previously worked as the associate director of development at Harvard Hillel and for the major gifts division of Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston.
