Community Notes

Margie Bogdanow began serving as Associate Director of the Early Childhood Institute in September. Previously, she was cofounder and coexecutive director of Parenting Resource Associates in Lexington, Mass. Bogdanow holds an MSW from Simmons College School of Social Work and a BA from Brandeis University.

Susan Megerman, Executive Assistant to the President, received a Volunteer Service Award from the Newton-Wellesley-Weston Committee for Community Living. The award recognized her efforts to promote friendships between people with and without developmental disabilities, and to enhance the spiritual lives of area Jewish group-home residents with developmental disabilities.

Rabbi Yehudah Potok was named Assistant Director of Camp Yavneh and Academic Director of Prozdor in June. He has worked at Camp Yavneh for eleven summers in various capacities, including counselor, head of religious programming and head of boys' camp. Most recently, Potok spent a year teaching at the Abraham Joshua Heschel Middle School in Manhattan and served as a rabbinical intern at the Riverdale Jewish Center. Ordained by Yeshivat Hamivtar in Israel, he holds an MS from Yeshiva University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.

Daniel Rothblum joined Hebrew College as Student Services Coordinator in August. A personnel assistant at the Bureau of Jewish Education in Los Angeles for three years before moving to Boston, he holds a BA in Jewish Studies from UCLA.
