CELEBRATING ME'AH'S FIRST DECADE

Me'ahCollectively they've logged more than 180,000 hours exploring core Jewish texts from biblical to modern times, redefining their connection to Judaism in the process. Now, the 1,800 adult learners from eight cities and all walks of life who have participated in Me'ah will be invited to come together and mark the tenth anniversary of the program.

On Tuesday, May 24, Hebrew College will present a special evening of celebration and learning to honor Me'ah, its faculty and alumni at the Moakley Federal Courthouse in downtown Boston.

"Unlike past Lown award dinners that have honored select Jewish community leaders, this year's event will celebrate the impact that Hebrew College has had on furthering a Jewish renaissance in Greater Boston," says David Chivo, director of development at Hebrew College. "And there's no better example than Me'ah, an adult learning experience that has literally changed the lives of its participants."

The evening is being coordinated by cochairs Judy Me'ah'97, and Jason Chudnofsky and the Me'ah Leadership Council, headed by Myra Snyder Me'ah'97, MAJS'01. For more information, contact 617-559-8724 or alipton@hebrewcollege.edu.
