Finding Articles
See if Hebrew College owns the journal: Check
Serials Solutions to see if we have the journal in print and/or electronic format. Note: Hebrew-language journals are not included in Serials Solutions.

If we have the journal in print, check holdings using the journal card catalog boxes, located on the Hebrew card catalog, on the main level near the public computers. Each English or Hebrew journal is listed on a separate card in alphabetical order. The card lists volume holdings for that title. Current issues of journals are located on the main level. If the journal is in Hebrew, check the Hebrew-language journal card box, located on the Hebrew card catalog, on the main level of the library near the computers. If the article is not available in the Library or online, you may request an interlibrary loan (ILL) to receive a copy of the article electronically. Submit an Interlibrary Loan Request Form or contact the circulation desk in person, via email or over the telephone at 617-559-8750. |
Looking for Articles from Citations
Periodical indexes can be searched by subject, title, or author to find citations for articles and/or full text articles. When you have an article citation from an index, check the journal title in
Serials Solutions to see whether Hebrew College has the issue online or in print. If the library does not have the journal, we may get you the article through
Interlibrary Loan.

Anthropology
Anthropological Index Online: Based on the journal holdings of The Anthropology Library at The British Museum going back to 1957, this index includes periodicals in all branches of anthropology, from many academic institutions and publishers around the world.
Education
ERIC contains citations (and some full-text articles) on a broad range of education-related issues.
General
Expanded Academic ASAP includes articles in many scholarly journals, news magazines, and newspapers, many with full text and images. This database encompasses all academic disciplines, from arts and the humanities to social sciences, science and technology. Part of the
InfoTrac group of databases.
General Reference Center Gold covers current events, popular culture, business and industry coverage, the arts and sciences, sports, hobbies and more. It includes articles from reference books and periodicals, many with FULL TEXT and images. Part of the
InfoTrac group of databases.
Jewish Studies
ATLAS Religion Database: The American Theological Library Association's ATLAS database includes thousands of citations and full-text articles from a wide variety of theological and religious journals, including a comprehensive "scripture reference" index.
EBSCOhost Electronic Journals Service
This database allows you to perform combined searches in more than three dozen theological and educational e-journals.
Index to Jewish Periodicals is a comprehensive guide to articles, book reviews, feature stories, and other contents in English, appearing in more than 170 periodicals devoted to Jewish affairs.
ProQuest Religion covers more than 120 major journals in the field of theology, many since 1996. ProQuest Religion is a comprehensive source for religious news and commentary, and is completely searchable through a combined search across all journals. With most of its articles in full text, ProQuest Religion is designed to meet the research needs of theological and general academic programs.
Publication List
RAMBI is an index of articles in various fields of Jewish studies and the study of Eretz Israel.
